How Fascia Influences Stress, Tension & Chronic Dis-ease In The Body

Fascia is the unsung hero in our body.

Fascia is the largest sensory organ in the body and put simply is the body’s own internal “cling film wrap” of connective tissue. The fascial fibres surround and permeate every nerve fibre, muscle, bone, and organ in your body.  

Fascia communicates at the speed of light and detects and absorbs 90% of our emotions.  Fascia absorbs energy that comes from light, colour, sound and vibration.  It does this by transferring kinetic energy between tissues and throughout our human biofield both of which play a dynamic role in your body’s overall adaptation, compensation, and ability to regulate. 

Fascial fibres are held together with a natural tension that allows for proper shock absorption. When we move, the natural tension in our fascia creates a piezoelectric effect which generates natural energy and aids its movement throughout the body.

Fascia fibres are separated by a liquid called hyaluronan. Hyaluronan production is enhanced through movement and effective hydration. 

Injury, lack of movement and chronic stress create adhesions and scar tissue within the fascial fibres.  Such injury and stress causes facial tissue crystallisations and impede the flow of energy.  These cysyalisations creating the perfect storage point for pathogens, toxins, and emotional traumas. 

Moving our fascia is therefore essential for ensuring nothing gets stuck.

Emotions only move if we move, and to quote the saying “all the issues are in the tissues” is only too true when we witness the cascade effect of disease and chronic illness presented in our world today.

Fascial restrictions hinder the flow of life-force energy (Chi/Qi) throughout the body and also impacts the ability for our lymphatic system to flow and drain.

When adhesions form and the fascia becomes stuck the associated symptoms can occur:

      • Autoimmune Conditions

      • Chronic Pain

      • Hyperextension & Mobility

      • Systemic Inflammation

      • Swelling & Oedema

      • Ongoing Stress & Trauma
