Charlotte

Charlotte is a somatic trauma coach, barefoot rehabilitation specialist, and home educator with over 20 years of experience working with the body in therapeutic and movement-based settings.
Her professional journey includes 14 years running a barefoot rehabilitation clinic in Australia and 7 years working within the NHS. With a background in functional podiatry, manual therapy, and movement, her early work focused on restoring physical balance and function through a holistic understanding of the body.
Over time, Charlotte’s work naturally expanded into the deeper relationship between the body, the nervous system, and unresolved trauma. Through years of clinical experience she developed effective ways to calm and regulate the nervous system using gentle, body-oriented practices.
Along this path she also began to see the limitations of conventional systems that often treat symptoms in isolation rather than supporting the whole person and their connection to nature, environment, and inner awareness. This realisation led her to explore trauma recovery and nervous system healing more deeply.
Charlotte’s current work integrates somatic coaching with pelvic floor integration, myofascial release, TRE®, Integral Eye Movement Techniques and other body-based approaches that support the safe release of stored tension, emotional pain, and protective patterns held within the nervous system.
She has particular experience supporting individuals recovering from complex trauma, including survivors of SRA, and approaches this work with deep care, respect, and sensitivity to the many layers—physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual—that can be involved in healing.
Through this integrative approach, Charlotte supports clients in reconnecting with their bodies, restoring nervous system balance, and rediscovering their natural capacity for healing and self-awareness.
Nothing worth experiencing in life comes easy; and the path of awakening is no exception. But the sense of strength, unity, knowing, compassion, love, light and fearlessness that you begin to feel simply by walking towards not only the truth but your own healing path is worth every painful step.
